Haven't played Wynncraft in a few months, and logged back in with a friend at Cinfras, and we both experienced massive FPS drops to 15-30 when we were getting 120 (which we were both capped at) in the lobby. I don't remember FPS being this bad, did something change?

Nothing changed. It seems like you have a good computer and a good internet connection, it's probably a) a lot of entities are around, b) the server is restarting, or c) a lot of people are running CSST (this kind of fits into the entity thing).

Sounds like your computer did not age well.

15-30 isn't that bad some people play at 5, anyways the map did expand a ton, so maybe your computer is having trouble rendering it all, I recommend installing optifine you can customize your settings a lot more and get almost 2x the fps.
You can also try turning your render distance down

Gonna guess this isn't the case, since, as I mentioned in the OP, that I'm running a solid 120 fps in the lobby, as well as getting perfectly good FPS on other servers.

Had optifine installed, tried killing my render distance, neither even remotely helped.

Mess around with your video settings, your computer might just be old

As I said, I've had no problems running games in other scenarios, and my computer is performing fine, so that most likely isn't the solution to massive fps drops in an isolated incident.

I have been experiencing severe lag spikes... but I have a gaming computer.

Something is probably just up with the server, and when something is wrong with this server it's usually fixed fairly fast... Save a few things

    *cough* guilds *cough*
    Which is practically un-fixable anyways...

My laptop used to get an average of 80fps now I only get 30 TOPS most of the time its about 15.... computers it's only 3 years old but I guess I've been hard on it.
Also - download all the fps decreased things possible (mods / resource packs) it helps a ton
    - wynncraft is much harder on the pc than most minecraft mini games / servers

Well, the lobby is super light but the actual gameplay eats quite a bit of fps. I get 800-1000 fps in the lobby and around 200fps when I'm in a crowded city.
