Is There A Way To Restart A Quest?

Hello who ever is reading this. Yesterday I was doing the quest "The Lost". The five letters for the quest filled my inventory. Later on when I was trying to pick up something with a full inventory I accidentally threw out one of the letters. Knowing that there is a fixQuest command I just ignored that. When I found the second npc that I needed to deliver a letter to they were not acting properly. I never talked to them before and all they said was; " Did you find the other members yet?". I was confused, so I tried to use/fixQuests to get the letter back. I did not get the letter back; it kept on saying no quest item lost. That stun me. I then quickly found all the other npcs and delivered them their letter, but the quest book still said I am missing one person. I still cannot get the letter back, and when ever I go back to the npc they still say the same thing to me. I think this bug happened because in the quest there were no orders of npcs that u have to go to, so maybe the one that was acting weird was the supposed to be the one before the first npc I found in the codes. I even asked a mod to help me, but they could not even do anything to the situation. I just want to ask if there is a way to restart a quest. If there is then please tell me. I do not want to end up with a 99% finished quest; it will freak the hell out of me.

I'm not sure what level that class is but if it's a low lvl one, u could just grind out a new class real quick and start the quest, then when u get the letters, put them in your ender chest, and take them for your other class.

 

No, there is no way to restart quests. If you lose a letter from 'The Lost,' then you probably won't get it back. You yalkef to an NPC, although I don't know which one you are talking about. Try talking to the NPC you want to give the letter to or the starting NPC.
The issue has nothing at all to do with the order that you visit the NPCs, and everything to do with the fact that the letters are untradeable items instead of quest items. You cannot get them back with /fixquests.

 

ok I tried that and I'm pretty sure it was a quest item because it disapeared after I threw it on the ground and that the mod told also told me to do /fixQuests T-T I'm sad
