Build (work In Progress) A Gosh Darn Town I'm Making, It Also Has A Castle

Salutations fams, it is I, your boy Sonick back at it again with another post. This time I'm going to build a medium sized town for minecraft standards, and it will probably take me some time to complete it, so I'll edit the thread every time I make some good progress.

Ok, so we now have 5 houses, the stairs and the castle's exterior is 85% done. The lights on the stairs are not centralized, so sorry for the people with OCD, I'll fix it later.

The castle's left side looks exactly like the right one.


And for some reason this part turned out to be assymetrical, I'll fix it later as well and maybe change the details, because I think they look pretty ugly right now.


Houses


More houses, sorry if it's too dark, the server doesn't allow night vision potions.


All the houses we have so far, none of them have interior yet.


I'll be making the castle's interior now, and I'll update the post as soon as it's finished

 

*Jealousy of other people's building abilities intensifies*

But seriously, this looks really cool! I like the idea of the castle being held up by pillars... mind if I use that idea for something in the future? Maybe not a build, but maybe for something in a story, or something... not quite sure yet, but I wanna use that idea o3o

I guess I'd rather have terrain under the castle, but if that's the style you're going for, looks great so far! I like the acacia logs in the house, it's a nice touch :)

Your structure is looking nice and interesting. However the mixed percentage of blocks below it kind of ruin it for me personally. Try and colour terrain with gradients, rather than //replace 35% etc.
That's my advice though, keep it up!

I have something to say about it tho... The stone beneath the castle is a bit flat... maybe add some rough spots and make it thicker. Or you can make the castle on a hill and make the village a hidden village in the mountain.
