Underground Crypt Charon Fight Seems Unfair

I am trying to get 6 Charon brains so I can buy a weapon that I really want. At first, I didn't know the fight very well. I didn't know what Gurkan meant by "Command the Army". But I figured it out. And once I did I beat Charan the very next time. But now, for some reason, whenever I fight him, He spawns with 4 minions on the field. And they DESTROY the people I'm putting out. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but it really seems broken or unfair for him to have 4 enemies already on the field before I can put ONE down. It's REALLY frustrating, so some advice would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

 

Choose soldiers that deal elemental damage that the mobs are weak to

 

I don't know which pressure plate summons water ones, but I'll find out and hopefully, that works. Thanks for the quick reply! :)

 

dont summon any soldier, let the zombies focus you (as many as possible), summon general graken
thats what i do and it works most of the time

 

OH I FOUND THE PROBLEM! YOU CAN'T SUMMON PEOPLE WHILE GURKAM IS TALKING?!?!?! WHY???? Well Now I know the problem but still, that is BULL

 

How to beat Charon.
1: Be a mage
2: Be lvl 31
3: Use ice snake on Charon
4: Profit $$$

 

Ask salted to unnerf the defenders. They were suuuper balanced in beta.
