Mage/Dark Wizard Help Looking For A Fun But Effective Build

So, I'll admit it. My mage is using the generic "rainbow tank" setup. I'm not going to lie, it's certainly effective, but after a while, it gets boring. Hence why I have created this thread.
I want a fun and powerful build, hopefully something different as well, like Thunder/Air or something like that.
Requirements:

• No Hive items other than the wand and chestplate
• No Mythics
• You can use legendary island items, but since i don't own any yet, please also state a good replacement.
• I have a budget of ~60le
