SPOILER Charon Boss Fight Rant

It's sh*t. Yes, I just said that.
It's dumb. You step on pressure plates to send in one person when there are 20 enemies out there.
They die immediately. What's even dumber is that there's a cooldown on them.
I think you're supposed to kill the enemies so your 'allies' can attack Charon, but when I kill one, three more spawn!
The first time I beat it was when I was a level 80 warrior, coming to see what was in the new and improved dungeons...
The fight took me almost half an hour. It was a miracle that the server didn't restart during the fight.
All the other fights are fun, for example, with Witherhead, when he uses his special attack, a raise a wall with some pressure plates.
Another example is Arakacidus (did I spell that right?), in which you have to seal up little holes so you don't get swarmed by baby spiders.
Then there's Garoth, which you have to put Creeper drops into a hopper at the center of the arena to deal massive damage!
Charon is just dumb, though. It's just... dumb.
Every time I go into that fight when i'm under level 50, I die. Maybe i'm just a noob, but who cares.
To be honest, I don't think i'll ever do this dungeon again. Overall, I think it was the least memorable one, anyway...
UNDERGROWTH RUINS WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVOURITE!
Maybe until I try Galleon's Graveyard (yes i have not been in that dungeon yet... not even once).

 

There's strategy to the Charon boss fight. The enemies have weaknesses. Pick which ally has the element that the enemy is weak to.

 

The corrupt boss is different. Try it

I've never had the much of a problem b4, just do the General and defense guys and you should be fine

 

Oh yes there is strategy

You spawn in which ever element most of the mobs are weak to. Once you went through the 4 that aren't the main guy, spawn in General Kraken and then just try to kill the boss along side him and then the boss is dead. IT is actually easy if yo uare smart about it

 

It's supposed to be a strategic fight. You shouldn't go for the boss yourself and you have to send the right soldiers at the right time. So I really like the boss fight.

But if you want the boss fight to be changed. What should it be changed into?
You gave no suggestion at all.
And don't try galleons graveyard, it's really buggy

 

I had trouble with it at first, but then I started using my brain and found it really easy if you don't mindlessly step on the plates and hope for something. Just do what people said above me and you should get it no problem.

 

I literally just tried that. I made no progress.

 

When mob spawns, they are trying to chase their closest enemy.

1. Spawn General

2. Go near the boss and get all aggro + Knockback them if you can

3. When you made General to attack boss, keep guarding the General.

4. When cool time is done, repeat.


I'm doing this because I fucked up with fighting strategy many times.
Yet this worked very well

 

How to beat Charon.
1: Be a Mage
2: be at least lvl 31
3: Ice Snake
4: Profit

 

When I was in beta and Salted was stalking me like a crow, all I did was spam the defenders until I had about 50 of them all in that 1x1 space. Soon they went out of place and stayed in the middle of the field (and spawn killed the shit out of everything). Then a general and some ice snakes won the fight for me (Salted was unamused and I'm guessing it got NERFED to oblivion; Sorry)

 

My first try took almost 20 minutes of noodling around because I was with a group of 3 people and it was all of our first time, and every time we spawned graken in he died immediately from us spelling him down trying to kill the minions. The corrupted version has a very different twist to it. Not spoiling what it is....
