    The owner can request unlock and the owner bumped the thread, so... anyway scam guides are still good to discuss, because they unfortunately still happen.

    Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that "grossly overpricing" an item isn't scamming. While you did say that part is on you, you also said that it is scamming. I personally don't think it is scamming because technically it is their item and they set the price. YOU agree on it, so the price on which you agree is completely up to you. If you overpay a lot... Well that is your problem for not price checking. Scamming is ONLY (at least that's what I think) tricking someone into buying something that is not promised.
