Actually, this is a quite interesting find, could this mean that the world of Wynncraft got the same problem with temperature (Don't know how it's call in english) as the real world ? If yes, from what do it comes ? Why the temparure is becoming higher ? Could this be a future problem in the world ?

For the last question, NO, since in the future Selchar it's still at the same height...

So there was a problem in the past that don't exist anymore !

You do realise that if the sea level was once was that low that there would be no sea?

 

well then maybe it was all just grassy plains biomes with trees and alot of plants, and all the islands were just hills
then islands like maro peaks were created by mountains being attacked by water
the water washed all the plants and dirt to make a flat and sandy area...

If you'll check this kind of paths IRL you'll find they extend underwater too, that so you could lower boats into the water and haul them out

 

My BEST bet here is probably that the Ice Islands were copy-pasted into the main map while they were working on the Ocean Update.

See...builders tend to create large builds that are used in the map outside of the map first, on the superflat world, before transporting it into the main map. Good examples for this are the Tower of Ascension and the Bantisu Temple. The islands were probably built off map and then got copy-pasted into the main map, which might explain why the cobblestone path continued all the way to the base of the island instead of the sea level.

Whether there has been or is global warming in wynncraft is probably the least important and intriguing mystery. We'd rather know about the actual plot of the game rather than learn about climate science... 0_0
