Well, as you may or may not know, Wynncraft's wiki has been changed​

Well, for some, this may be a great change, for others, not as much

Reason #1 (Main Reason) Ads:

Well, congratulations Wynncraft/Gamepedia, you are now making more money, at our expense... (Profit from the ads)
This will annoy us very much when we are checking the next stage of a quest, or just finding out random and new information. And due to the new format and the ads, the website is more power hungry.

Reason #2 Loading:

It will not stop loading! I mean seriously, I have to sit here forever (well, longer than before) to load.

Argument:
Well, this morning, as I was scrolling through the wiki, I pressed the Logo of Gamepedia and landed to their here.

and that is why I created this thread. The Wiki never had any ads (and if so, I thank my adblocker). The Gamepedia made the wiki slow, obstructive and worse than before. I liked how it was so simple, but now, they have ads for their own gain. Wynncraft's wiki was fine before, and this merge benefited Gamepedia, while kind of ruining the Wiki. So this is why I have created this thread, and I hope you support

It's probably not Wynn's wiki, because afaik they use the Wikipedia database, which as you may or may not know, is needing funding so they are using ads to keep the sites up.

Well I mean 1 your computer is probs old if it's slow
Two Just ignore them or turn them off (I think you can in settings of computer)
Three it supports the server for free basically

Well, first off, I don't get the "infinite load" so it must be your internet. And second, I really don't see why you're so against ads. They aren't pop up, they kind of just sit on the right side of the screen innocently. I don't see why these changes are hugely influential and life-changing for you guys, the Wiki is still extremely accessible. Plus, ads are the ways that internet sites gain money. How is Gamepedia supposed to make money without ads? They're the one providing us with the Wiki, they should have the choice to place ads or not.

It's so extermely accessible that even if you don't have an account you can edit it, there are some HORRIBLE things in this new wiki.

1st - You can edit without an account, it will show your ip if you edit without an account.

2nd - It isn't mobile friendly.


3rd - Old Main page layout was better.

(+ If any wiki admin is reading this please delete the "Wynncraft Enhanced" wiki page, because Enhanced isn't oficial)

I know ads are annoying, but can't you just get an adblocker? I do that.
