Wynncraft

So, basically you take a picture of a landscape/building. Usually without mobs in it. Then, using programs and software such as Blender, you make it look beautiful with special effects and blurred areas.

There are also a lot of player renders, which puts a person in front of a backdrop and does a cool pose or holds an item. The Wynncraft community has done a lot of these, and you might find someone who could make you one for free. For instance, if he hasn't changed it, @SPYROHAWK's profile picture is a render.

 

So you are telling me wynncraft, as a company, has no trademarks or copyrights?

It's almost like you guys want people stealing your work.

Also, I am pretty sure you can make a plugin that tracks packets of downloading maps excessively, I dont remember where I heard of it though. You might want to tell admins about it if it is an issue of sorts

 

Going after a server with an average of zero people online that uses our map would be far more trouble than it's worth.

 

Oh, ok. I thought you meant that it's hard to sure people that use your map for... larger or more superior purposes.

 

Renders (in this case) aren't just modified pictures. They are the result of someone working in a 3D program, to come up with cool ideas that direct placement of objects (players for example, and their pose) and also what effects and tools to use to make it look nicer. Cinema3D is also a well known program, although it's payware, so Blender might be better to start off with.

So, by all means, making a render is not as easy as just taking a picture and adding a filter ;)
