Galleon's Graveyard Is Broken

Boy howdy, am I sure having a fun time beating Galleon's Graveyard. Lemme try to get this as direct as I can:
First of all, this is what happens; I defeat the Armored Pirate, right? Then I proceed to this room where I have some kind of cannon boss fight with the Boss Pirate dude, Galleon or whatever.

2 Problems:
1) When I look up any tutorials online, even the wiki, none of them include this boss-fight. After the armored pirate, they go straight to some parkour or some other place. There are no videos I can find on this stupid cannon fight.
2) The reason it's stupid? It's impossible to beat. As simply as I can put it: Whenever you shoot a cannonball, and it hits the enemy cannonball, they both poof. However, if there are any other cannonballs behind yours in that lane, they all poof once an enemy cannonball is hit. Also, you literally cannot reach the ship. If one of your cannonballs is about to reach it, the enemy just fires out 1 to deflect it. THIS BOSS FIGHT IS IMPOSSIBLE AND NOBODY ELSE SEEMS TO HAVE TO DO IT. So please, someone help me out here. This dungeon seems fun but it's impossible right now.

 

Ok, it used to be impossible, back when is was a minidungeon.
Yep, it's tedious. but it is possible. I can't show you video evidence, but I've done it.

 

It isn't impossible. You should copy the pattern in which they fire. Then as soon as you can fire again use just a single cannon and hope it hits. Then repeat this process and you are almost guaranteed to win. I was actually thinking about buffing it for the corrupted version for whenever that may come out :) Might consider changing that back!

 

I don't find it difficult at all, after my first time against it I've always beaten it.

 

you do have to spend 5-10min on it but its possible, and the boss fight sometimes works

I remember doing this shit in beta for a good half hour trying to kill that boss. I agree its retarded. Years later, a lvl 150 will have the same struggle with beating it as a lvl 1. Kinda annoying that its a lot of luck involved.
