For everyone that didn't saw it, there is a new rule added. This is because of people selling unID mythics knowing what it is (a glitch/formula), but let the buyer believe they don't know it. So the buyer thinks it is a real gamble, but it isn't.
    This is the new rule:

    19. Selling Unidentified Items
(Selling unidentified items that are not what is advertised is not allowed. The unidentified item must be known by the seller and the buyer. If the item that is sold is not what is advertised, it will be classified as scamming. Users may sell unidentified items as long as both parties know what the item is, exactly, and it is sold as such.)

There is also a rule updated: (thx @Pokextreme )
    8. Do not scam players.
(Selling something that is grossly overpriced, tricking someone into buying an item that was not promised. If an unidentified item that is advertised wrongly is sold the seller must give a full refund or receive a permanent ban.)

Conclusion: Just be honest when you sell your unID mythics guys!

Anyone has any idea how can you determine that without using the glitches?
IDing it means item isn't unIDed anymore.
If you use the ID cost method, then you can end up with several different items. Grandmother and Ignis have the same ID cost, but are different in price. How can you be sure, exactly, what it is without breaking the rules?

there is a way to know what item it is exactly, can't tell it you tho.
And the rule is for people who first check what it is, if its the cheapest mythic of the mythics in that level range, they will sell it unID. And say it can be both. If its the most expensive one, they will ID it.

Martin, I know. I read your reply in my suggestion thread.
I was asking other people, as I'm really confused about this, so maybe others can clear things up for me.

But to me, it seems this rule isn't defined enough, again, and it's confusing.

But, how does one know what an item is before it has been identified? Isn't that impossible - well it clearly isn't, because the rule implies that it can be found out, but still?

    That's exactly the issue.

The rule is not defined enough.

There are 2-3 ways to determine what it is.

    1) ID cost method. Each item type and level have their ID cost. Mythic leveled at 97 with always have the same ID cost. Problem is, if there are 2 or more mythic e.g. wands at level 97, you could be getting different gear. Seller most likely knows what it is, but you don't.

    2) Using the glitch you can determine exactly what it is. That's the issue with this rule. In order to know EXACTLY what an item is, you either
have to ID it, which means it's not unIDed anymore, or use the glitch and act innocent.

    3) Apparently, mods work too.

    The rule itself is contradictory.
If you can sell unIDed items but must know exactly what it is, including the name, then it's either not unIDed, so the rule is irrelevant, or
you used the glitch to determine the name, breaking another rule. Or a mod, but you can easily claim you have no idea about the item name. If you must include the name of unIDed gear, then there is absolutely no need to leave it unIDed, and in the process of figuring out the name, you abused the glitch.

    It's really poorly constructed.

I mean, yeah, but I like the fact that you could sell unided items with both buyer and seller unaware of what the item really is.
It's a shame that this glitch was found and exploited, also there's the ID cost but I have no ideas on how that works.

Yeah, this rule doesn't make sense to me at all, based on how it's constructed. You even just literally debunked it.
