Which Armor Is Better [comparison]

Which armor piece is better in terms of damage reduction:

Regular Diamond Chestplate (no enchantments)
or
Diamond Boots (with protection 2)

A diamond chestplate reduces all damage by
32%

However protection is complex..
The forumla is:
defenseReductionInPercent = damage * 4 / ( 2 + toughness / 4 )

Basically protection depends on the durability of the armor.

However I am PRETTY SURE

that p2 on diamond boots would add about 1/4 a protection bar,
so no matter what diamond chest should be better



Just use the chestplate
a P2, will not make up for all those missed bars,
each 1/2 bar adds 4%
protection

so chestplate is 32%

Boots have 3.5,
so 3.5 x 4
=14%
Add like 2.6% from p2, I believe
