Info An Update On The 1.17 Update

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is well and enjoyed the Corkus update. I feel enough time has passed without much information to give you all a thorough update on what we're working on.

The next update is not ready yet. Let's just get that out of the way straight away! As you all know, updates take a huge amount of time and the way we operate is that we work on 2 updates at the same time. We work on the current one that's due first, and also the one immediately after.

So what can we expect for the next update and what have we been doing?

Well, the next update will be very much like Corkus - a content orientated one. We probably won't have any new features to deliver in terms of code, but there will be new quests, reworked quests, lore, new items, updated builds and (hopefully) some more discoveries.

You might be wondering why there hasn't been many new features, and there is a good reason. The developers have been working on a "refactor" which is basically re-doing some of the old code and formatting it better (I'm not too savvy on code speak). Once this is done though, it will be much much easier for us to update and add new features to the game without breaking existing features. So, for the time being, we'll let the devs do their thing while the CT works on adding more and more content to keep people happy!

The update after next (1.18) as you might have guessed from the updated map will be the "Road To Dern" update. That is a long way away.

The purpose of this thread is not to get you hyped, we are still at least 2 months away from 1.17 being released. I just wanted to inform everyone that we are still working, still making progress and always striving to improve Wynncraft to produce the best experience possible.

Oh my god! The turtles are making progress! ;D

 

I downloaded the picture and the name of the file is "Troms"

One of the buildings has the Troms logo aswell

And this building looks very similar to Temple of Legends...

Now just hear me out guys, I am not certain, And don't take my word for it, But I feel like there may be a Troms remake in the close update, It's just a hunch.

Is 1.17 going to be an expansion to the map or...
is it just going to add questst to the existing map.
