Do Certain Minecraft Versions Effect Your Game Performance?

    I was on 1.8.9 and I occasionaly freeze so often but when I switch to 1.10.2 it dosen't. Though in 1.10.2 some of my items dont look normal. For example, my dagger looks way bigger than it looked in 1.8.9 and the textures in the hotbar looks like a flat model of it.

    Not so much performance as issues with the server, including horses, boats, and textures. Pretty sure the least glitchy version is 1.8.9

    The least glitchy version is 1.8.x
    I play on 1.8.1 optifine and not many glitches come out etc.
