Mage Issues?

I'm a level 40 mage. All of my weapons are unfortunately pieces of crap, and they do about 10 damage. People tell me they're supposed to be better, but I'm not sure where else to get better weapons from.
I've gone to Nesaak, but a snow wolf alone could kill me. I feel like I'm not where I'm supposed to be. Like it shouldn't be so easy for me to die, and it shouldn't be so hard for me to kill things.

Mage's spells make up for the low base damage. Heal when you need to, teleport to get away from dangerous situations, ice snake to slow down your enemies so you don't get hit, and cast meteor to pack a punch.

Problem is, I also run out of mana fast. It doesn't let me heal all the time either. I have no idea why.

 

Try to wear armor with mana regen, and if your wand attacks at a very slow or super slow speed, that's why it won't let you cast heal that fast.

Just pick up every piece of armor that drops from mobs, identify it, and some armor will have mana regen as an identification bonus. Anyway, mage gets a lot better as you level, so just keep playing the game, wear armor that seems the best to you, and hang in there. I would also suggest putting your skill points in intelligence because with enough intelligence, you can decrease the mana cost for spells.

When you sell it to an item buyer it 7/10 (aprox) times gives you more emeralds then the identification costs

Once you get a good wand all of your problems will be fixed. And if that doesn't fix your problem, it's sad to say that it's probably skill. Even when I wear xp armor with a good wand, I easily kill mobs and rarely die. But, I use my mana wisely and wait for the right moments to meteor or ice snake.

 

get sage or glare or waves raiser and u will be fine

 

Enemies don't drop wands that aren't pieces of crap for me. I have a legendary that someone gave me but it's for a level 47. I can't level if I keep dying. :/

There is a certain level of luck to finding a good wand, but luck only goes so far. The legendary drop rate (iirc) is 1/300. So, if you are lucky, you will have gotten multiple legendary wands by now. But, you should have gotten at least one. Secondly, you need to grind in the right place. If you are grinding the wolves around Nesaak you are doing it wrong. The wolves around Nesaak are level 41? And I'm pretty sure there are no legendary wands close to level 41. Therefore, you will probably get no good wands from grinding them. Instead, grind at Abandoned Mines or the Corrupted Sentinel cave that brings you to ToA. These mobs are the perfect level to either give you Sage or Waves Raiser and give great xp. And if all else fails, you should buy loot bonus armor to grind with. How do you get the money to buy it you ask? Seavale Reef is probably the safest option. But you can also loot run, specifically in the T3 and T4 chests around the border of the ToA area. You will definitely find more legendaries by doing this.

 

Question: Where could I grind for a Waves Raiser? I've tried in the abandoned mines, but I got Red candle instead. It's a legendary, but it's a fire one, and it's not as good as Waves Raiser. Abandoned mines seems to only be giving me fire things.

I got two Waves Raisers from Abandoned Mines. And I won't go out of my way to do this, but if both of us end up online at the same time I will give one of them to you for free.
