Media Wynncraft Slang

So they're a lot of phrases in the wynncraft community we all like to use. Some of the are phrases, some are shortened words,and others are abbreviations. This thread is going to list off all the ones people like to use, and ill add more as time goes on. Think of this thread almost like the Urban Dictionary, but for wynncraft. Aight, lets get started

6/19/17 Added Weapons/Armor/Acessories

Player Based
CSST: Short for 'Corrupted Sand Swept Tomb', a new corrupted dungeon and reiteration to the existing Sand Swept Tomb. Its a popular place for Dungeon Runs

Dungeon Party: When a large group of players rushes a dungeon in order to get the reward/experience. These parties are often thrown alongside Double XP and Dungeon bombs.

DB: Short for Dungeon Bomb, a item available on the wynncraft store that gives everyone on the server free access to dungeons.

DXP: Short for Double Experience, an item available on the wynncraft store that gives everyone on the server double experience.

DXP Weekend: On certain occasions, the entire wynncraft server will get double experience, this usually lasts for the weekend, hence the term.

World
TOA: Shortened version of 'Tower of Ascension' a location near Lusuco, and a quest that requires the player to go through seven floor, each with ten rooms.

Herb Cave: A cave directly right of the great bridge upon entering the jungle. It serves as a good grinding spot for levels 60-68.

Tol: Shortened version of 'Temple of Legends' a location near Troms, and a quest that tasks you with defeating the Corruptor of Worlds. It houses a Boss Altar, a bank, a weapon merchant, and an identifier.

CoW: Shortened version of 'Corruptor of Worlds', a boss mob that finishes the end of the Temple of Legends quest. It can be hard to defeat for new players, and its common to see people asking for help killing it.

Cotl: Shortened version of 'Canyon of the Lost', a level 80 area of gavel that hosts a variety of mythical creatures. It can be confusing to navigate due to its maze like structure.

Hive: Referring to Qira's Hive, located in the Canyon of the Lost. It also harbors a quest similar to the Tower of Ascension, where the player goes through floors and rooms. The quest is also significantly hard and might require a few friends to complete.

Freezing Heights: A region in the molten heights that appears to be frozen. The high level mobs and high spawn rate have made this spot popular for grinding.

Demon Cave: A cave right outside the entrance of Rodoroc. The cave has a high spawn rate and an open area, making this place another popular endgame grinding spot.

FF: Short for 'Fallen Factory', the new dungeon added to the Corkus province

LI: Short for Legendary Island', A hardcore challenge which consists of Nine beefed up versions of previous bosses. Rewards are highly desired, and people often complete the challenge in groups

Weapons
Coi: Short for 'Chestplate of Ineptitude', a rare high level Chestplate known for its outstanding melee damage boosts, Often used in earth damage builds

Hive(Weapon/Armor/Accessory): A prize that can be redeemed with the master token, which is acquired by beating the Hive. These are often prestigious and highly sought after for their stats.

(Element) Sanc: Abbreviated version of (Element) Sanctuary. One of five legendary leggings that add 85% damage bonus of said element, and 5 skillpoints of said element. These are useful to use in builds due to their insane damage buff; however they do not give any health.

Alka: Short for 'Alkatraz', the only mythic spear oriented around the earth aspect. Highly known for its damage output

Strati: Short for 'Stratiformis ', the only mythic bow oriented around the air aspect. Highly known for its insane walk speed. These are very very rare and sell for tons of emeralds

Apoc: Short for 'Apocalypse', one of two mythic spears centered around the fire aspect. This is the worse one of the two (The other being guardian) due to its lesser damage output and negative stats. However Apocalypse is a lot more common to find and is generally more affordable than its counterpart.

 

Quite useful, recon think it deserves a pin or recreation on the Info forum for the new guys joining and to get around our terminology. Updated whenever needed too.

Here are some additions i think should be added in the near future: "Nicefind.avi (and other dot-whatevers)," "Soon™," "Jumla's Coffee/Tea," "Cosmic Confusion (dunno if anyone uses it tho, never caught on i think)."

I have literally never heard someone call a dungeon bomb "DB" only "dbomb"

 

I never understood what nicefind.avi means, what does it mean? What is .avi?

 

Nicefind.avi refers to a video made by late mod IgbarVonSquid. It was a video basically mocking how people are always posting their Easter egg finds. It was eventually banned on the forums for being rude and condescending. Idk If anyone has the original

 

Demon Cave should be D-Cave.

TXP = Triple Experience. It's just used less often.

What about weapons?
Apoc - Apocalypse
Strati- Stratiformis
Alka- Alkatraz
Cata - Cataclysm
Trash - Pure

Builds:
Rainbow - all elemental defense, heavy health point.

 

to add to that, for builds, stuff like
glass cannon - low health, high damage output
tank - lots of defense and health
spellspam - high spell damage/mana regen, just spam spells
melee - focus on damage per hit, not so much spells

 

Nobodu says the entire name of the location they go grind at.
