Why do prices of stuff decrease as time passes?

 

As the time passes, people realize that they are suck

 

cause there is more of the item.

To explain the "we find more of the item:" the rarer it is, the more valuable, right? So what's rarer, an item that's been found once, or one that's been found dozens of times? The longer the items have to be found, the more of them will be, so they'll be less rare and worth less.
