Fun Hypothetical

I just had a random thought about this earlier, so I thought I'd pose this hypothetical to the forum.

If there was a game breaking bug where all mobs stopped respawning, how long would it take for the game to completely empty out on all worlds? Realistically, what would be the last mobs to go? Are there ones that are pretty hidden? How would you participate (assuming that this was like a community event)?

 

the bosses such as cow, bob and amadel would possibly be the last few to go, while the zombies outside of ragni would get wiped first.

 

Last will be quest area mobs and after the discovery of the bug 2 hours

 

yall are forgetting obscure things like Belua the Unquenchable/Giant Mammoth. seriously. most people have no idea where they even are. also things that are in easter egg areas like the sarnfic egg guardians
oh and btw sometimes werewolves spawn outside the map so potentially the map could never be emptied without someone glitching out
and let's not forget near immortal mobs like Nightmare from Memory Paranoia and Naragath's first form in EotS

Very hidden minibosses in the Canyon of the Lost, found down large caves known sometimes as the Elemental Minidungeons. There's also an Air dungeon with 3 wind bosses and I don't know what the fire one is, but Belua is the water boss and Giant Mammoth is the Earth Boss. Thunder doesn't have one for some reason.

There are also Tower of Ascension mobs called Acolyte of Belua so presumably she's some sort of water goddess

Mobs despawn if you go far away

 

ok it turns out these things seem to have been removed. i went to the water minidungeon and now there's just a room full of weird slime mobs without an entrance to the water dung. that really pisses me off, like really all they had to do was give each boss an item drop and make a teleporter work and they'd be cool. cmon...

it would probably despawn immediately and then never respawn
or just never spawn in the first place, given the nature of the bug

 

assuming all mobs were spawned and did not despawn, the last mob to die would probably be The Pheonix Prince, Dr. Legendary, Big Butch, Kronos, and other hard to reach bosses

Maybe the Pseudodragon

 

The dungeon has literally the same room cloned twice, a broken teleporter, forced fall damage in more than one area, mobs that contradicted what should be there, and a boss room way that was way too small, housing the lamest boss in the game. It would have taken a lot more effort than it was worth to make them good.

I'm placing my bets on Cinfras Citizen. The most difficult bosses in the game, with high health and ridiculous regen, and no actual reason to kill it.

 

You can kill it with 2 raged alka swings tho and people can kill it to test dmg

 

well i've never done the water one

but the earth one is balanced by the mammoth being slow af so it never even gets in multihit range

 

this mob could kill literally any build in one hit
of multihit

nothing should be that powerful
