Problems With A Quest

Whenever I try to do this quest (First picture) it won't let me give him the mushrooms, even though I clearly have them in my hand (Second picture).

First time I tried this, I could give him the mushrooms, but when I went to kill the guy in the basement (forgot the name), he wasn't there. So I walked up again and tried to click him but he kept telling me to get 8 mushrooms.
(I tried with brown mushrooms as well for safety, but that didn't work.)

Hope someone can help :) If you need more screenshots, just tell me.

 

If your issue is the boss not being there, try switching servers
