    So it can't be a province because yhr wynn lore said so...

    Yet corkus was a place that was meant to claim independence or to seek refuge for those running away from their monarchy, so its independent and not claimed by any other province.

    Aren't colonies controlled by the mother province, so to speak? I feel like it's more like a rogue colony

    I mean you wouldn't call heaven or hell a province, right? If it requires a portal or some magical way to get to it, and the name isn't referring to a single landmass, then it's a realm/world. So for example Wynn is a province and its realm is Earth (idk if there is a name for the overworld planet but it's never mentioned so just go with Earth)
