Question About Skill Points

okay, so I made a build recently which uses Gaea Hewn boots.

These boots require 33 intelligence, which I do have. But, my weapon gives negative intelligence. So if I equip the weapon will my boots be taken off because I don't have enough skill points? Or does negative skill points on weapons not effect armor?

 

no.Holding your weapon will not pop off your boots.

Weapons with either positive or negative skill points won't cause armor to pop off, however they will lower the actual effect you get from the skill
So with intel, depending on how much negative intel you have on the weapon, as well as how much spells cost at base, some spells may cost 1 extra mana, or if it was negative dex, you'd crit less often
