I don't get how it works, It seems that it should heal me for the amount I have over the time stated right like 30hp over 4 seconds.

Does it work differently as a mage? It seems that even though I hit some mobs my health doesn't go back up over base regen.

It has a random chance to activate every time you hit a mob

What is the chance of it happening? Is there a way to improve it?

The chance of it activating depends on your weapon's attack speed. I believe the slower your weapon the higher chance to activate, since you'll be doing less hits overall.

idk why there's the x/4s id, as it seems totally inaccurate. It does not work differently as mage.
    More lifesteal ids?
Say there's a .. 1/10 chance that it will activate (this is a made up number).
If you have another lifesteal id, the chance might become 2/10.
    This is just a guess.

Honestly, I'd really like to know more about this too, as I've never actually noticed it happening.

Steals trigger every 4 seconds, meaning that slower weapons are likely to trigger this better as they require less hits so it is likely likely to miss the trigger. It is the opposite for faster weapons.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Does the trigger for the effect occur every 4s of server time, or within the fourth second from the last attack?

On the last hit of 4 seconds, so on the 4th second you have to hit something or it misses the trigger.

So does the time reset every time you shoot, or is it within 4.0-4.9 seconds of the start of the streak, and every 4.0-4.9 seconds after that it's triggered?

It's random and averages around once per 4 seconds, with any attack speed.

So attack speed isn't super important, it just means that (per shot) the chance is lower for faster speeds. But, you get all the normal benefits a typical shot gives you. Alright, that makes sense (helps keep faster speeds from being super broken, too).

So does that mean that a higher x/y value is saying it has a higher chance per shot?
