[quest] Dwelling Walls Issue

Hi there !
So just to clarify I already looked up on how to solve the quest and everything.
Problem is : I've been switching the rooms for about an entire hour and I still didn't get the right combination.
I can sse the pattern on the rooms being switched and it cycles through 8 different combinations and that's about it.

Is it completely random? If so, it's quite dumb and really frustrating....
Is it maybe bugged, because from my perspective it would appear so and i don't wanna spend another hour right clicking a bloody button.

The correct solution is on the wiki, you'll need to go upstairs and get into the room from there, there'll always be barrier blocks downstairs.

 

If you're an Archer, you can cheat/skip the hole quest by clicking the button 7 times and escaping up through this 4x4 hole in the ceiling.

So I know how to go in (I already looked up the wiki) the main issue is : the right combination does NOT appear. As I said I can cycle through 8 different combinations and none of those work (I checked it out dozen of times, I'm sure of it). The right combination is : stairs in the room left to the button's and stairs in the book's room. But this specific setup never appears for some reason.

And sadly I'm an Assassin x)
But yeah I checked it out and it would work with the hole in the floor of the room whose left to the button's room.

 

I am having the same issue. Tried for about 20 minutes and the combo needed never showed up.

 

I read that the quest has been replaced with the corkus update. There's a third floor that's easy to miss. I recorded it on fraps.

There is a third floor now ? It was probably update again after Corkus was out because when I did it I never saw any third floor ! :o

Thanks for the help haha, didn't notice there was a second button on the third floor.

 

Press the button until the light-gray floor is behind you. Get to the 3rd floor, press the button once, then drop down to the journal (from the 3rd floor).

Thank you SO MUCH, I didn't see the button the few times I went to the third floor and it worked perfectly well with your indications.
