Where Do I Start? (art Question)

Artists, what program is good to start with if you want to animate? It needs to be rather cheap sooo

no adobe flash pls

But yea, it could cost a bit, but not too much.
I'm thinking about doing 2D animations

Well, for normal art, I use FireAlpaca, but I also haven't found much of a cheap animation program.

 

Try Pencil2D, it's free and I've heard it's pretty noice for beginners, and if not I'm pretty sure there are some good tutorials out there on YouTube

 

If you have a 3DS, you can get Flipnote Studio 3D on My Nintendo for 200 Platinum points, which is really easy to get. It's really easy to use, and I make little animations with it all the time.

 

Try adobe flash for 30 days and see if you like it, then you can decide whether or not you want to go looking for ways to get it fulltime

I know a pretty amazing artist who uses this program. I haven't used it, but i've seen her work, it pretty good.
