Recently started again but the new update hype (i havent played for years) I didn't kept long... Don't get me wrong: It's still a cool game. I have just overplayed it and the new content didn't changed so much as it could kept me playing.

I can also recommend Starbound if you like a more story driven experience with quests, different planets, technologies and races. I's even more about exploring, has instances (seperate dungeons) and so on. I wouldn't say it's overall better than Terraria. Both have it's flaws.

 

Well I've played Terraria almost since the release, I guess? It's a good game and I've really enjoyed playing it with friends. Those major updates, like when Hardmode was introduced (or now the whole lunar event and moonlord i guess) made the game more complex (makes everything hard for beginners who dont understand anything ^^) but also more fun. Now that it's been fully released you can't really expect huge updates anymore, though, a 1.4 update has been announced as far as I know.

I've played Starbound as well, both before and after the full release, it's also a good game. But what I like more about Terraria is the wide variety of class customization. There are pretty much more possibilities that really buff the class you want to play and make everything easier. Haven't seen much of that in Starbound. There are different types of weapons and armors, I guess, but that's pretty much it.

Oh yes. Terraria is one of my go-to games to help me untilt after too much exposure to jungle fetishes, archons, etc. It's one of my favorite games!

 

I did and I eventually beat every boss but moon lord. Than my save file got corrupted and all my worlds and characters were deleted. I never play it anymore.

 

I would buy Starbound but sadly I don't think my computer can handle it. I can't wait to get a better computer in August (right now I have a Macbook Pro if you wanted to know).

I have 600+ hours played on steam and 99% achievements done (hate that 200 fishing quests one...)
