Hello From Zidders. :)

Hi, all. My name is Zidders (just Zid is fine, too) and I'm a 42 year old male who was was born in Rhode Island and now lives in Bertram, Texas (we're just North of Austin). I consider myself a writer, poet, musician and artist but I don't take any of those titles all that seriously as most of my creative efforts are for fun. I'm also a furry and a brony which are two more reasons why I don't take myself all that seriously.

I first got into Minecraft back in 2009 when the Team Fortress 2 server community I was part of got their own server. We started back when Infiniminer came out and transitioned over to Minecraft as soon as dedicated servers became a thing. At the time I was dealing with depression a lot worse than I do now and found Minecraft to be a way of escaping all the crap I was going through. Fortunately things have gotten a bit better since then.

Around 2011 the community moved to a different server and I ended up migrating away from my first to a new server where some of the ex-pats from the old one had drifted to. I was there for a few more years and then after some unfortunate non-Minecraft drama happened in my life decided it was time to move on from the game. It's been about four or five years since I played all that much and getting back into it has been fun. I'm not sure if I'll be dedicating the nine or ten hours a day I used to dedicate to it but I for sure plan on playing MC every now and then.

This server is impressive. I discovered it via a recent post on Reddit and have spent a little time exploring. After killing some mobs, exploring and leveling up a bit I have to say this is one of the most impressive servers I've played on. I'm looking forward to playing more and maybe even getting to know some of my fellow players. Just one teensy, tiny issue-there are no bards! That minor oversight aside I want to thank those of you who run this server for putting so much time and effort into crafting an immersive world. It looks beautiful and the writing so far is top notch.

 

Hey there! Welcome to possibly one of the most unique vanilla Minecraft server experiences out there, and I'm glad you're here! It's true that there's no bards :V, only four generic RPG classes (so far), but since I see you're interested in music and art, I believe there are positions on the WynnCraft staff team for the Music and Artist roles. I know you're probably not interested in that yet, seeing how you just started, but it's something to look into if you want! :)

I appreciate the welcome. As far as helping out goes I was an admin for the aforementioned TF2 server for a few years and then spent a few years helping with my previous server. It was a lot of fun despite some of the drama but due to health reasons I'm afraid I don't have the energy to put into that sort of thing anymore. Even so I'm very appreciative of the opportunity to play on your server.

I hope that in the time I do manage to spend in game I can help make it a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Hopefully you folks won't mind a hunter who breaks into verse every now and again. :)
