Chain Lightning And Elemental Damage Help Needed

If I put 2 4+ Fire Powders and 2 4+ Thunder Powders on a Cluster that would activate the thunder special for chaining dmg and add fire dmg to the bow. Would fire damage be added to the chained damage from Chain Lightning or only thunder or only neutral or a % of all dmg types? (sub question: when adding 2 of each powder 4+ would that also add Chain Lightning and Courage to the bow, or only one of the specials) I am asking because I have a fire build that I am unsure of how I want to add powders to. I am doing a lot of fire dmg and if that dmg is added to the chain lightning I would probably use chain lightning instead of courage (unless courage dmg bonus is higher than the dmg of chain lightning(oh god so many questions)).

Chain lightning is a direct multiplier of your melee damage.
Look at your melee damage, and multiply it by the special %.
Done.
