SPOILER The Corrupted Dungeons' World Is The Normal World In The Future?

K so here is my theory (really quick one):
I was doing Underworld Crypt (Corrupted) since i had no lag, and this text

gave me an idea:
It mentions that we helped him to defeat charon, and we thought we won, but then it killed Graken, and i thought...
What if this will happen in the normal world in the future? This gave me something to think, and i thought that i should share this with you guys

even though it may be obvious, there is always the chance this is an alternative world/timeline :p

 

This will be a new kind of corruption like the decay, it will be called 'The Lucifer Plague' (Lucifer is Satan's second name btw).

idk i find it a bit difficult to believe that its the future for sure... yeah it would make sense in game but firstly that would mean that the adventurers are ultimately going to loose.. and secondly what makes me really wonder is that in one of the gavel teasers/trailers they say "as the war off corruption in wynn begins to fade" or something like that ._.

 

im pretty sure gms confirmed corrupted dungeons were in the future

If it's a split timeline it wouldn't change the fact that it is in the future in relation to where we are in the present.

If it is an alternative world it also does not change the fact that he was helped by the player in the past.


Basically it is in the future, however, we don't know if it is the future that will always happen or a future that will never happen.

Could the same then be said about the future Selchar? The similarities between that and this theory are evident. Is there some massive corruption explosion planned to happen in the lore, is this just a coincidence, or will it all be explained away by the Maybe Theory

 

I like to think it is the Future without the Player, and it is up to us to change it.

 

Stuff in the Corrupted Underworld Crypt disproves that, saying that the player killed Charon in the normal version and then once they were gone and Charon was thought dead, he came back suddenly and slaughtered Graken's army while a bloody mist covered everything suddenly.

 

I mean if you suddenly where to disappear when you enter the corrupted gate to the dungeon, like if you never came back to the present from the future.
