Media Worst Quests So Far

am I the only person who has a problem with the Thanos Vaults quest?

like, a massive amount of the quest is just riding a minecart and then a bossfight. it just feels weird to me.

 

Royal trials left the worst impression on me.
When I fought the iron golem creature, it wouldn't drop the blue cube, so I didn't know what to do.
After spending x minutes in there, I died, and it spawned me at the beginning of the map...as in, the area before Ragni.
Also the flying ship is hard to control due to massive lag and buttons sometimes don't register.

 

Wait why is Enter The Dojo here? And Royal Trials? Those quests are amazing, I don't get it!
And I love the Ultimate Weapon, it's such a troll quest I love it ;D

Even though the rewards to The Ultimate Weapon are fantastic, it's just a fetch quest. I also selected Royal Trials because I just don't really like the plot of it, although it was made well. Star Thief is also terrible. If I could vote three times, Star Thief would've been my third vote.

I wouldn't say eye of the storm is the worst quest of all, but it's the bare definition of wasted potential. It turned the kander forest into gavels least interesting area for me. It feels they took Wynnexcavation site D, but took everything away that made it fun and made sense. The last few stages are pretty bland.

Still I dislike star thief more. It isn't a wasted opportunity or something, it just makes me feel bad for actually delivering the star that made the guy insane back to him.

Thanos vaults wasn't that bad, but still you literally rob a town and one level later they give you dwarven trust. Mixed feelings about that honestly...

I'm gonna be original and mention 2 quests that haven't been mentioned yet. (Although Thanos Vaults was really bad too)

A Grave Mistake: Extremely broken when it came out and completely overshadowed by the great 1000 meters under, which also seemed to use the new quest system (yet wasn't broken). Also overhyped on twitter considering the quest was just a showcase of edgy cutscenes.

The Realm of Light: I don't care if the lore is involved, this is still a fetch quest! You travel all around a place with no distinct landmarks except for a road that happens to be a certain color. And you get another shitty quest item to fill up your already full bank. I had really high expectations for the realm of light but this quest just... wasn't good. I'm sorry if I sound salty, but for a quest that's supposed to be serious I can't view it as anything other than the most generic quest made, maybe ever.

 

From the Bottom is actually fun, it's just different, and thats the good thing about it

 

A Thousand Meters Under doesn't use the new NPC mechanic for quests.

 

Fortune teller.
Its "advanced" fetch and some trivia with no real penalty

 

After I got past the bugs the first couple of days, I enjoyed the quest, but the bugs definitely left a bad taste... I completely agree with you on the Realm of Light, there was so much wasted potential that it was only a little bit better than the Eye of the Storm. For an "earth-shattering" quest, the lore doesn't make sense and nothing feels changed whatsoever after the quest.

 

I feel that the whole quest in the end was partially a grand introfuction to the soonTM dungeon in the light realm. Yeah it is basically a fetch quest however to me the lore made wayyyyyyy more sense than in eye of the storm. About the nothing has changed after the quest.... well its difficult to make you feel a change if your quests cant change the map at all ._. However i do believe that this change you are talking about will come once we get that dungeon even if that still may take loooooooong ;-;

The wait for the dungeon is another aspect of why the quest isn't that good, especially since it's kinda shoehorned in. I understand that they can't permanently change the map during the quest, but what I mean by change is that there are no cutscenes and even lore wise nothing really much happens :-/

 

I agree its a bit more informative than anything else and doesnt have the standard that several other gavel quests have. (Personally i think in that quest line taproot and finding the light were way better (taproot being thr best)) Well lore wise... you do get informed about uhhhh orphion?(sorry if i got thr name wrong) ._. Dat light guy and you get to know whats happening to the light realm and personally for me tat was enough lore :p

For quality though? Temple of Legends is legit an enormous fetch quest with a boss

 

The only reason the boss is any good is because I changed it recently to actually be something worthwhile instead of something overall pathetic that relied on a GM's failure of spell-balancing to be difficult in any fashion.

 

I hate ultimate weapon, because it's a fetch quest on an extreme scale, and after I completed the quest I didn't realize you could trade the dagger in and threw it the fuck away.

Maybe it's my fault for not realizing that there was a merchant in the hobbit town, but I still hold a grudge against the quest
