Melee Damage Vs Spell Damage

What's better? I'm a mage, I have around 300 spell damage and some percent spell damage but if I have extra melee damage, will my spell damage and percent increase my melee even more?

 

Spells are generally stronger on Mage, but you could do melee if you want

 

Would it help either way? Like if I went both, spell damage and additional melee damage. If I was casting spells would I have additional damage from melee too?

 

Spell damage and melee damage buffs only effect their own category. Melee damage applies on normal attacks(including ranged shots by archer/Mage). Spell dmg is well, spells....

 

Uhm i am not sure if i get this correctly but.... why on earth should your spell dmg increase your melee dmg? ._. Its called spell dmg cus its the dmg of spells xD
