Opinions On Microsoft?

The EULA refuses to let you buy any in-game currency from servers... BUT IF IT MAKES THE COMPANY MONEY, WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL???? hypocrites

 

Does Microsoft realize that Planet Minecraft and Minecraft Forums exist?

 

and mcpedl and every single site where you can submit maps, addons, resource packs, etc.

 

now console gamers and those microsoft store version players have a even bigger reason to play the real good version of minecraft

 

Am I insane or is this very similar to the gold coins system

 

For the coins thing, I'm not entirely supportive of it, but I'm not entirely against it either.

With the maps debate, Microsoft needs to acknowledge websites like MCForums, PMC, and actual server forums. I did notice that in a previous message from someone on the thread (too lazy to go back and quote) that people can flood the actual thing for free money. However, according to the actual Microsoft article, only APPROVED mapmakers can upload to it. Unless their idea of quality is "try and get out of this bedrock box without any tools lol u bad" (that actually wouldn't surprise me if an entire map was to escape something that's impossible to do), I'm sure that part won't happen. The negatives? Most mapmakers (atleast the popular ones) have their own website/Patreon, rendering the actual idea somewhat useless.

I'm completely against the idea of purchasing skins/texture packs though, unless both sides (maker and purchaser) approve of the deal. By this, I mean completely original ones, not just "oh lemme just give you the default texture pack but call it 'Bravely Default.' They totally won't notice that I just infringed a completely different company and didn't change a thing." I mean, some people don't like the default skins, but neither do they do the actual given ones. If they want to use a custom made skin, Microsoft would just make them pay for it (possibility). Same goes for texture packs.

If Microsoft actually does add DLC for things like multiplayer and extra gamemodes/future updates, then I'll have to probably take a step back and just forget completely about Minecraft as a whole. For Multiplayer, you already paid for the game AND wifi, so why should we have to pay extra to get something we probably bought the game for. Same goes for the gamemodes/updates; you already bought the game, so why should we have to pay more to get a feature we don't want, or add NEW, TOTALLY USEFUL MOBS!

Just my perspective. I can *barely* see their idea, but I see this failing, and bringing Minecraft as a whole down with it.

 

They are bad at coding. Don't even follow their own style guides.

Also, they made IE.

 

I don't feel like many people realize this isn't coming to the pc/java version
