Assassin/Ninja Melee Grimtrap

Flameshot Hilt has good defenses, mobility, and dmg... it does follow the requirements...

 

I really should not have to explain to you why it doesn't follow.
I already know the answers, but please, kindly explain:

• How the build has good defenses
• How it has good mobility
• Damage is good, it does ok damage simply because its glass as fuck.

 

100 defense, positive element defense clearly better than your -50 air defense, tho your lifesteal makes it so your grim is more survivable.

Centipede plus Hephaestus-Forged Greaves = 40% ws, clearly good enough, as you have that much if you don't use Contrast.

Damage is obviously less than Grimtrap as Flameshot is Legendary, but I reckon it was just as much as the Voidstone dagger version of your build.

 

you have the defenses completely ass backwards.
He has, with hive pants, still shit defenses.
You forget that my build has positive defenses to the point where it can be considered a mini tank. His does not.
His also has ass poor hp, about 8k.

Earth: 150 (Centipede) + 100 (2x Prisms) + 40 (Diamond Fusion Necklace) and -10% (Hephaestus) and +10%ish (Prisms) = About 290 with 0% = 290

Thunder: 80 (Centipede) + 225 (Hephaestus-Forged) + 40 (Diamond Fusion) + 100 (2x Prisms) and +15% (Hephaestus) and +10ish (2x Prisms) = About 445 and 25% = 556.25

Water: -75 (Burnout) + 100 (Prisms) + 40 (Diamond Fusion) and -10% (Hephaestus) and 10%ish (Prisms) = About 65 and 0% = 65

Fire: -250 (Centipede from recent buffs/nerfs) + 225 (Hephaestus) + 20 (Burnout) + 100 (Prisms) + 40 (Diamond Fusion) and 15% (Hephaestus) and 10%ish (Prisms) = 135 and 25% = 168.75

Air: 225 (Hephaestus) + 100 (Prisms) + 40 (Diamond Fusion) + 15 (Burnout) and 15% (Hephaestus) and 10%ish (Prisms) = 380 and 25% = 475

Your Health: Centipede (1550) + CoI (3000) + Earthbreaker (1800) + Gaea-Hewn Boots (4000) + Prisms (-1300) + Prowess (850) + Contrast (1250) = 11150, cool but you have like no defensive stats, as opposed to Flameshot Hilt (it is also only 10400 when using Voidstone Esbald)

Health: Centipede (1550) + CoI (3000) + Hephaestus-Forged Greaves (4500) + Burnout (2275) + -1300 (Prisms) + 850 (Prowess) = 10875 HP, yea it is low, but there is 100 def, which you lack.

No, you are not a mini-tank without Grimtrap. At least your element defenses don't make you one. You have -50 Air defense, which is not the expected value for mini-tank (300). The only reason you are tanky is because of your lifesteal. If you were to use the non-mythic version with Voidstone Esbald, you would only have up to 70 lifesteal, which wouldn't make you more tanky.

Don't get me wrong, your Grimtrap build is better, but its not much better when you use Voidstone Esbald. You shouldn't dismiss other builds so easily.

 

Never did his build even consider prisms or diamond fusion items (to be fair it was created before their existance). His build does not even mention the very possiblity of FUCKING RAINBOW ITEMS.
You're making a fuckton of assumptions here.

If you build it with prisms, his hp becomes even more horrendous.
You are literally using taking liberties with his build that he hasn't at all.

I hope you realise that the entire reason I use earth breaker at all is for the exploding. The simple mechanic of exploding + ls makes the build so much more survivable. With Voidstone Esbald, I still get positive lifesteal, which with exploding, is more than enough to heal me to full.

The defense stat does not matter as much as you think it would. Most mobs deal element damage, which defense currently does not affect.

you should not be so quick to dismiss my build as good 'only because it uses a mythic'.

 

I believe you did some math incorrectly here, this build has 10875 health before you factor in level health. Which isn't half bad, and definitely not the 8k that orange claimed.

 

I literally just said your build was slightly better with Voidstone, though not much. With Grimtrap, yea cool its definitely better.

While defense doesn't affect elements, it is an incredible tool against Orange Wybel and similar mobs that deal neutral dmg.

About the liberties - to use the build with the old accessories would not work, as Centipede and Burnout got higher sp costs.

 

Looking through their build again, its actually fairly decent if you include the use of prism prism prowess LI diamond fusion.
The dps is higher than mine with courage, but overall, mine is tankier simply because of the exploding/ls mechanic. (It also has better element defenses, the -air will be fixed soon™, as of now, it is unavoidable).

Thsi was because they used clock boots, not burnout. With burnout, they will have -1/4s mana regen, which is a problem in and of itself.

 

Player base mana is 3/4s, so -1/4 does not really matter.

Also, Clock Boots is 950 HP? And Heartbreak is 550, while Burnout is 2275.

 

oh boy; it does. Mana is important even as a full melee build, which is why I loathe the -1/4s on my grimtrap SO MUCH. That seemingly small difference makes PvE a pain in the ass, because you WILL still cast spells.

 

You have 2 mana steal from Heph, that should really be enough, seeing how you should be continuously meleeing.

I meant that you could still run and regen mana (albeit slower) but now that you mention the stuff like spin attacks to confuse the enemy, I could see why it is a problem

For Warrior the Parasite should work well; the high mana steal and life steal give it a lot of mobility and survivability

Trust me, you never want to have -mana regen on assassin, no matter how small it is. As a person who uses assassin a lot, I can tell you that your spells are NEEDED to survive, and you WILL be shredded without mana regen, especially on a melee build

 

Why not Shatterglass. It gives extra melee.

 

Because it goes against the melee standards of survivability - it is bad defensively and reduces hp as well.
