Why Does My Boat Keep Sinking?

So I bought a boat to travel to the santa island for craftmas chaos quest but it doesn't work. Sometimes I can travel a bit without it having any problems but then it just starts sinking underwater. How do I fix this?

 

How the hell am I supposed to get to the island now :/

Use your transport spell - Escape and Charge are fastest but Teleport and Vanish also do the trick.

 

Its kinda really close to one of the sea skipper thingies and you can walk over the ice towards it for the most part

 

Found a solution, just log on to the server in 1.8, worked for me!

 

I find that, if I just ride forward, my boat sinks straight to the watery depths. However, when turning, the boat often floats back to the surface, so if you just keep pressing A and D quickly while riding in a boat, it'll keep you above water enough that you don't drown.

 

i also had this issue, i bought boat to hunt some loot in seavale reefs. because my class is assassin, it'll took time to go back to selchar by swimming, but when i get on the boat it sinked

pls fix

 

Don't necropost, and just use 1.8 if you want to use a boat

 

Its a problem with Minecraft 1.9 and above. Use 1.8 for the time you want to explore the reef.
Also as already said please dont necropost (posting on a thread that was inactive for more than 30 days).
