Does Loot Bonus Affect Chests

I have had a lot of differing answers from this, so let's see what we get.

Yes, but out only affects how much stuff you get. It does not affect the rarity or quality of the item.

For example, with a 150% loot bonus set, you will get 150% more emeralds and items.

Well seeing as Salted has stated that it does affect chests, but mods have stated that it doesn't affect chests, the hell do we know

There's evidence that it does affect loot chests.
And there's evidence that it doesn't.

That is how it should work according to @Selvut283 , but there have been people saying they notice no affect. (I personally notice that when I wear the treasure boots from underwater, which have 25% loot bonus, I get significantly more emeralds from loot chests.)
