SPOILER The Giant Statue Behind Kandon-beda Solved?

_So, I was snooping around Ancient Rodoroc's gates with @AmbassadorArt working on another theory. I've passed through the bookshelves there so many times, but it's either I haven't seen this one or it just clicked for me.
_Well, nobody from what I've seen has found out anything about this statue.


Although I haven't figured out where the portal at the statue's feet leads to, I've found out who/what it is. As I said, I was snooping around the bookshelves between the gates of Ancient and I found this book title.


Now, if anyone don't know what a colossus is;

The book title isn't talking about the exaggerated size of someone in a statue because why would an author just write about a really big statue? So, I'm assuming this is just the tale of a really big dude who dwelled in The Canyon of the Lost. You're welcome.

The book title is talking about the exaggerated size of the statue.

Notice the "Legend" in the title? There's clearly some mystique, myths, or stories surrounding the giant statue.

Although the WC statue probably took it's inspiration from that, the designs is slightly different because of the outfit and the floating stones behind.

 

Lel, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Also there could be a lot to write about a giant statue, but for all we know it could be someone who turned INTO one. It's almost a cliche how some famous figures are turned into stone whether it be a curse, magic, or some kind of legend or prophecy. Either way, there's a connection between the statue and Rodoroc authors/stories. It might have nothing to do with Kandon Beda at all despite being right next door.

 

Maybe this thing appeared cause of water erosion (Don't know if this word exist in english, when the water dig the rock.) and tga caft that it looks like a human was pure random :D
