Don't worry- it only takes a few minutes to read.

The first thing you see when searching this is, "In space, it is possible to create 'artificial gravity' by spinning your spacecraft or space station. When the station spins, centrifugal force acts to pull the inhabitants to the outside. This process could be used to simulate gravity." This seems to be a popular idea.
Basically centrifugal force can be shown by spinning a rock on the end of a string. As you spin it, the rock goes to the outside, and is no longer vertical with the string.
Seems legit. ... But I've thought of a loophole.
Obviously your spaceship's gravity section will be shaped like a doughnut, with all the doughnut insides hollowed out, and it will be spinning. This doesn't need to spin that fast; just enough to keep the occupants on the floor. The slower it spins, the less "gravity" there is, and the faster it spins the more g's the people feel, just like if you spin the string with the rock faster, it nears horizontal, and slower spinning makes the string go to near vertical. The massive, spinning, hollowed-out doughnut spins you along, and centrifugal force only works by moving you along. If you float around in the hollowed space of the doughnut while the rest or the doughnut spins, there will be no gravity for you, because you're not spinning.
Now it's obvious that by running in the direction of the spin, you'll feel more gravity due to spinning faster, and if you run in the opposite direction in the doughnut, at the same speed you'll no longer have gravity, and simply float in the middle, watching everyone else spin by.
Moral of the story: Don't drive in the opposite direction of the spin in the future.

    That was random.

Didn't NASA wanna do this back the the 50s? With some spinning doughnut shaped space city.

The project was sadly scrapped due to their budget.

The thing is wouldn't it be easier to have a velcro floor and velcro shoes and velcro on the bottom of everything?

Well it was never really a plan, I think this is what you're talking about. So more like "Hey this is a cool idea and we should totally do this next, ah fuck we have a budget, right, no". This is another one of a similar design which they later came up with, but not really with the intention to build it some time soon. And here's another cool centrifuge thing which seems even more possible! But never moved on from six years ago... I guess we won't be living in donuts any time soon.

That would be too costly, would it be better to replace a large floor with velcro and terrain or a large floor with nothing but beautiful terrain and homes. It would be better to keep the city spinning. And imagine how much the shoes will cost

Centrifugal force doesn't exist, it's just a changing momentum

They call a changing momentum in a circle centrifugal force. I'm pretty sure it exists.
