but like, really, they're worth as much as some level 31 legendary leggings which is like 2-3 le maybe, otherwise its considered scamming

its just like the nether set and all this shit, but as long as both seller/buyer are aware of the price its k i guess

 

nether set is forbidden for trading just because of the dying armor glitch, but santa pants is a colletable regardless of the color
if that case applies, this trade should be terminated 0 profit should be made, so I don't see a problem here

 

im pretty sure i saw a mod saying they were worth as much as any lvl 31 legs but eh

Jacky covered it pretty well, but Santa Pants were obtained via an event in 2013, whereas the nether set only gained value after the merchant was removed without warning. Nether armor was added back into Gavel, and due to a glitch in which armor could be dyed rendered the older sets useless.

Anyways, you're still allowed to sell event items and there is a market for them (a very small one right now, though)

 

Well actually they intended the Nether Armor to drop off mobs as dyed leather armor, but that didn't work out, so there are the dyed and non dyed versions, which they couldn't really allow to be sold for different prices as that glitch with armor dying exists
