    Fairly certain there's some meaning behind the swastika being a reversed or tilted manji of peace. As in, crooked peace and/or backwards peace.

    Growing up in India, I saw these all over the place. It never created an issue, because of its status as a Hindu (and Buddhist, may I add, but primarily Hindu) symbol. It's written and engraved on temples, sculptures, newspapers even.

    Funny story: When my parents got married in India, they sent a letter on invitation to a cousin in Germany. On the letter, there were pictures of swastikas, which is illegal to portray in Germany, and she almost got arrested. Heheh.
