Vaward will do a decent job, you will lose walk speed, defenses and health regen but you will get more skill points you can put into int or agi.

Also shouldn't you build more towards elemental defense?

 

I like to think of tankiness like this: You build health as you move away from glass cannon to average, but you build element defense as you move from average to tank.

Additionally, builds should almost always have positive defenses.

 

Just as @Gigavern said, if I go straight to elemental defense, I will be left at 4k health or so. At that point neutral damage will destroy me and the defense will be super situational.

In this build I tried to find some kind of a balance between defense and health with some damage. Cataclysm does not need much damage buffs because it does not really matter if you do 30k or 40k spins.

great build, i actual can't say anything nagtive about it, however i must add a suggestion
under your weps catargory add rewind. rewind is pretty much needed when using assassin, giving 6 mana regen and somewhere around 250 life steal it is basicly a utility wep.
when ever you need to regen mana just switch to it, and switch back fast, and when you need hp just hit a few mobs in the face.

this is something I can actual correct, if you have not read what the powder does on your wep, it gives buff in FIRE damage. and before you try to show me the like 210% neutral spell dmg thing, that isn't a buff to your damage, actual it's more like a spell like the earth ability and the thunder one as well, it does 210%ish damage to mobs around you in a very small area.
I didn't realize it worked like this either until selvut told me lol. but yes it is a misunderstanding of what the ability actual is.

 

Courage gives a damage buff of 210% to you and everyone around you for 8 seconds that buffs all elemental damages including neutral (and reflection, that is a glitch though). On top of that it does a 135% (125%?) fire damage attack around you.

It does both.

The 210% says "damage boost".
The 125% says "fire damage".

That is pretty obvious to me, and it's effects on items like Fatal say the same.

k, honestly all i can say, selvut is the one who told me it worked this way, unless i just misunderstood him or he was wrong.

 

Mm there has most likely been a misunderstanding somewhere, as Courage clearly states:

- Duration: 8 seconds
- Damage: 125% ✹
- Damage Boost: +210%

 

it was in a actual skype call, so yea more than likely misheard him

 

Fire dmg is the activation dmg
Damage boost is the actual insane booster

use water not fire

Legings thunder sanctuary rings and stuff just mana regen

 

What did @Madib00 say about Cataclysm? You can't lean even slightly to glass items or you will be glass with Cata. Just use Vaward if you can't afford another voucher.

You honestly do not need Thunder Sanctuary, it is a waste. You need health and Cataclysm has way more than enough damage already.
