What Do The Horses From The Dungeons Merchants Do?

The Dungeon Merchants from Ice Barrows, Galleon's Graveyard, and Corrupted Decrepit Sewers, you can buy a horse for the base horse and the respected boss drops Theorick's Ice Shard, Redbeard's Hair, and Corrupted Witherhead's Rib. My question today is what do these horses do and are they special? I decided to buy a Brown Horse from the merchant but nothing seemed different.

As already said the max level of the horses from dungeons is a bit higher. That means if they are maxed they are a bit better than the normal brown, black and chestnut horses.

 

The horses are a safer alternative to trying to breed horses yourself. Instead of having a chance to gain +10 maximum stats, you're given a 100% chance to gain +5 maximum stats.
