Black Catalyst is by far the weirdest set item I have ever seen in wynncraft. Take a look

This is the first set I've ever seen that gives stats not shown when you hover over it.

The real question is, how do you have three and a half STACKS of the exact same rings, at least one stack of them have exact same stats.... HMMMMM....

If you got one, and then actually payed attention to the lore, you got a nice surprise. If you didn't pay attention, it's your loss. I guess DoubleRx paid attention.

 

Conclusion, set bonuses aren't read from items but read from some database and only shown on items. Either that or there's a way of saving a ton of info on an item without showing in the lores..
