Hello, Wynncraft. I've worked on an endgame build plan for my Assassin, and I wanted to show you guys what I've come up with. This is probably the best build I've ever made, and I'm not good at making builds at all, so opinions would be nice. This build was made specifically to suit me, so I hope it doesn't bug you too much. Anyway, let's get started, shall we?

To start off, the Helmet. I went with Shawl of Gaea for its good amount of health, okay elemental defense, some strength and defense, good exploding, and a decent bit of earth damage. As I go on in this build, you might want to tell me to use Centipede or Chestplate of ineptitude or something, but I like to be able to use spells along with my melee. Thanks though. Anyway, the Chestplate.

The Chestplate might confuse some people at first, but I went with Puppeteer. I wanted it for its high melee damage, a bit of strength and agility, thorns, and walkspeed, as well as a bit of health. The negative attack tier doesn't bother me at all, so in the end I couldn't say no to Puppeteer.

For Leggings, I decided on Earth Breaker for its high melee damage, Earth damage, exploding and strength, as well as a good amount of health. The Negative Lifesteal in the end doesn't harm me, so Earth Breaker it was.

Lastly, the boots. I went with Gaea-Hewn boots for its excellent health and defense, a bit of melee damage, exploding, some raw spell damage and Earth damage. There wasn't really any other comparison to this one, it was just a perfect match.

For Rings, I went with 2 Giant's Rings, for a little bit more health, and some melee and Earth damage, and a bit more strength. The negative Walkspeed is countered by Puppeteer, and the Agility and Air damage wasn't any part in this build.

For my Necklace, I chose Royal Dusty Amulet. There wasn't many other good Necklace options. There was Golemlus Core, which had a bit of Raw Regen and Health but had less damage, and there was Shatterglass, but I didn't like the fact it lowered my defenses. Royal Dusty Amulet gives me a bit of spell and melee damage, Earth damage and some Strength.

For my Bracelet, I went with the Watch Bracelet, just for the Earth damage and set bonus damage. There were other options, but I liked Watch Bracelet better.

The last and most obvious piece of this build, the Weapon. I went with Grimtrap, with Tier 6 Earth Powders, and it's hard not to see why. It has great damage and Lifesteal, Excellent thorns, a slight bit of Walkspeed, Some poison, and a small bit of Earth Defense. Nothing really compared to Grimtrap with this build, that's really all I can say.

In the end, my stats are, well, you decide on how good they are. (Note, the multiplier is not applied to my defense in this list.)
    11410 HP
    400 Fire Defense, +15%
    150 Water Defense, -2%
    -275 Air Defense, -10%
    0 Thunder Defense, -10%
    400 Earth Defense, +15%
    -7% Spell Damage
    +102% Exploding
    +18% WS
    +52 Melee
    +113% Earth Damage
    +147% Melee Damage
    +654/4 Lifesteal
    +124% Thorns
    +200 Raw Spell Damage
    +1235/3 Poison

And lastly, the damage I deal.
Melee Damage is 4408-6469 per strike, at Very Slow, but Attack Speed doesn't bother me.
    Spin attacks do 9023-14200 Damage.
Multi-Hit, the weaker hits deal 964-1491 per hit, and the stronger hit deals 5177-8247.
Smoke Bombs deal 2752-4312 per hit.
Quake damage, I may have miscalculated, but I ended up getting 21733-35362.

This build took me awhile to make, and I'm proud of what the results were. I'm hoping that I made an above average build this time around, as I'm not very good at builds, once again. Anyway, I hope you guys find this build at least decent, and I'd love to have opinions!

BTW, just wanted to note that dexterity cancels strength, agility cancels defense, so there is NO point having (for example) 100 agility and 100 defense. <--- waste of skill points. So if your trying to make a good melee build use earth (strength, defense) and avoid dex. and agy.

    It's only when they activate.

If I Dodge something, no damage is reduced, I just avoid. If I get a Critical, my damage isn't modified by Strength.

The only reason people don't like Fire/Air is because items of Fire tend to have -ws but good HP, while Air items tend to have +ws but low HP, thus canceling their buffs. But ya see Fire/Air also has some of the best items in the game, such as Hephaestus-Forged Greaves.

The only reason why Earth/Thunder may be frowned upon is because of its lack of tankiness. But if you introduce some other stats like Defense and Agility, you can solve some of these problems.

Lastly, any build worth its salt, doesn't strictly limit itself to a few elements.

Therefore, mixing elements that way is fine.
