Trouble With Zhight Island

I am having trouble with Zhight Island due and due to that trouble I can't complete it.

Let's start. I started the quest before it got changed in the gavel update. I was on stage 2 where you go and talk to that person on the crashed ship but then Gavel happened and I can't complete it!
Could someone please help, I like completing quests!

 

Gavel shouldn't have affected your progress, since the structures (including the boat) should not have been changed. Therefore, if the quest is active in your quest book, and it says to go talk to the person on the boat, it should work. Make sure your quest book is on the exact stage for the boat. You would also have to go to Mage Island at some point, as well as Maro Peaks (make sure you have your climbing helmet with you).

Of course, I have no idea how much the Gavel update changed the quest, and even if the stages were increased/decreased for it the quest would have reset so new changes could take place. The only thing I can think of is that the names/locations of the NPCs changed, making the quest unplayable. If none of the above advice helps you, it might be permanently stuck like that unless a staff member with the certain authority can fix it for you.

Make sure you have all of your locations right for the quest, and good luck trying to fix this.

yes, there is no NPC where there should be (from the pre-gavel quest)

 

I know in the current quest the boat is located just off the Ice Islands. The NPC is a small villager and the boat should look similar to a viking boat. Was the boat like that in the pre-Gavel quest, and was the NPC the same, but just moved somewhere else for the sake of Gavel?

Try searching the wiki/forums for the NPC you need. I don't know the exact name of the pre-Gavel NPC, but the current one is named "Tirt" and the NPC "Phief" should have sent you there in stage 2.

The wiki page is outdated. when I go to the boat the boat is there but not the NPC, I'll do more searching later. And you're right about stage 2, i'll go edit that
