Custom Armor Skin Revival

Anyone remember back when Wynncraft used to have skins for each and every armor piece? I thought it was really cool, and it should be revived. ;)

 

Yes. I also remember that Mojang shut it down and that hardly anybody liked the skins anyway.

 

they can't, it was caused by a glitch(Not sure if its the right term) with skins, and Mojang did not like it. they also caused lag.

I think @Pretzule talked about it in a thread already but I can't remember which one. He said that it was against the agreement with Mojang or something like that. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

 

That was @Selvut283 but I'm not entirely sure about that because it does not make sense if everyone has armor skins and it does not effect the gameplay.

 

Jumla spilled his coffee on the skins and Mojang didn't want to clean that.

 

Yeah I feel the same way. Mojang has just gotten extra weird lately

 

The armor skins were done in a shady and cheaty way. With 1.9, durability would allow for a ton of 3D armor models. We just need to update Wynncraft to full 1.9 which probably isn't gonna be anytime soon but we'll just have to cross our fingers for this one.

Might as well add shields too while you're at it.

 

By "Full 1.9," I mean not having a 1.8/1.9 hybrid. Remember how you can only see the weapon skins for 1.9+?

I remember the days when we had armour skins I couldn't take off Sawdust, cuz the skin was my favourite ._.
