Concerning Negative Mana Steal And Poison

First off, does only melee attacks poison and mana steal? Or is it both melee and spells?

Secondly, does negative poison heal enemy mobs?

Third, let's say mana steal only affects melee attacks (hopefully someone answer number one for this for me), I'm assuming if I just cast spells, negative mana steal will not drain my mana away. Is that so?

 

Mana steal is definitely only basic attacks, not sure about poison.

There are a few nuances with this, though. It's kind of weird and I don't fully understand it. If you shoot an arrow bomb and directly hit a mob instead of around it, I think it has a chance of activating mana steal. War Scream can also activate mana steal. I think multihit might also do it, but I'm not sure...

Negative poison will give mobs the poison effect but won't do any damage or healing, just knockback. Poison is applied from any attack.
