Guilds Could Fix The Economy! ( In Theory )

I can agree with you up to the point that a guild is a small money sink compared to what we could have as a money sink. Not many people invest so much money into guilds, and if the top 10 guilds have millions of emeralds, that's nothing compared to the potentially billions of emeralds circulating in the economy. The economy isn't broken because guilds don't work, it's because Grian and salted aren't economists and they didn't consider the economy when the server was founded.

However, I like the way you're thinking, we just need a more extreme version of your sink notation.

 

Inflation is the exact opposite of a living economy...it just shows how bad a country is managed.

Dude. If you think the content team can just push a few buttons and BAM everything is fixed, go make your own wynncraft. It takes a shit ton of time to do anything, because these people are also human. They also have lives, they aren't robots made to 24/7 work on wynncraft. I agree that some bugs really need to be prioritized over new content, but that's their choice, not ours.

 

Hey dude relax okay im stressing that they have the means and resources to do something about it much more promptly than they are, I stated I know that they have limited resources, I know they have things on there plate (I posted this in my own thread I started not in that post btw xD ), But this is an issue to where they should put everything down that there working on and currently adding to the place and fix whats broken now, because I know they have the team to do it, I mean do you think I dont realize that they have all these issues including irl matters n so on. I'm not oblivious to reality, WHAT I'M trying to say is if they truly wanted to and would actually commit to doing it, they could have this issue knocked out in a day or 2 max, I know ppl that arent that bad at coding n have also witnessed the issue to whom also say this is a issue that could be corrected a lot sooner than for how long it has been a issue. You can say "Hey hey hey, your not looking at the whole picture and are way out of line to be arguing a point the way you are, which shows you seriously have no clue. ", let me assure you that I'm very much aware of those points your stating, But I still strongly suggest and feel that they should make this issue a higher priority considering the nature of the issue and the severity of the problem its causing. I know they can, it really boils down to if they want to on the cool.

 

I really don't feel like you should bash the Content Team like that, I believe that they simply have first priorities... I bet there's a lot of big stuff that they're working on that none of us even know about yet, Don't worry, Guilds are going to be fixed, But they're going to need to basically rewrite their code in order to fix them... I can understand why it was not done yet.

 

Let me clear something up for you guys.
The content team does not work on guilds. The content team works on building, quests, mobs, and other in-game things.
Jumla works on the coding aspect of Wynncraft by adding new features and mechanics.

And we will be/are working on guilds. The issues is because the code is very old and outdated and we're still going through and updating old code so that it is much more manageable. Because guilds were such a broken aspect and have to be changed we want to go back fix it and possible add new things to them. Guilds being fixed cannot be something that's a quick fix, it requires its own update basically. We know that you guys want them to be fixed and we plan on doing it.

Anyway this thread is about how guilds can help the economy in theory not how we're supposedly not trying to fix guilds or ignoring you guys.

 

Thanks for the feedback and clearing this thing about the CT not having anything to do with the code or guilds, I bet a lot of people were confused with that one (I even forgot myself).

I never blamed Hax on anything, The territory maps I used for comparison are just to show how inactive guilds are right now, Back at the time you could see a whole bunch of guilds fighting in a whole bunch of areas constantly, While now Hax could easily have all the land since no other guild is really warring actively... (Thinking, Hax is one of the only few active guilds left so they might be HELPING the economy with all their donors).

I am not really saying in benefits everyone... I just think trading would be really boring and everything had a set, or very similar, price. Smart buyers can make money purely form buying something which they can correctly predict will go up in value. Furthermore, I'm not talking purely about inflation. I also like Deflation, although a overall deflation over Wynncraft is extremely unlikely. In essence, I think people SHOULD be selling and buying goods for different prices, rewarding those who stay one step ahead of the economy's path.

We all know guilds used to be money sink, and they have plan for fixing guilds. (It should be somewhat high priority though... not sure why just keep saying "Soon™" for over a year.)
Well I'm not really blaming that this thread is useless, I think it was a good time to make new people remember guilds used to be better than now.
If we really want to make the fix faster, you need to post the actual suggestions to them. Like a brand-new way of treating the guild wars (or new system for it), making everyone want to spend money on it.
Yea I know some have been posting about it, but they're all shitty as far as I can see, and probably not going to be better than the current guild war system, so they're technically useless suggestions.

Anyway, thank you for making this thread and making the problem clear, I'm hoping people saw this thread are gonna start thinking about guilds and economy more seriously.

It would be nice if they decide to reset guild xp and levels when they redo guilds. This way everyone can start on an equal playing field.

@Drew1011 this kid knows how to make Fox seem like it's the place to be. Hire him. Studies show that making normal shit more expensive makes it more desirable.
