Quest Bug: An Iron Heart Part I

I had a full inventory when trying to complete a quest and as usual it said to clear my inventory before talking to the NPC. I cleared it and got my quest rewards and decided I wanted to pick up something that was on the ground so I dropped something in my inventory which turned out to be the helmet you earn from completing the quest. I don't know how but in that quick second I dropped the helmet and picked up the other item that was on the ground and then the helmet disappeared. I know the helmet has to be used for another quest so I was wondering if I could get it again or not.
