No Damage

For some reason, when I try to attack a mob with basic attack or spells, it does no damage. No damage text, no hurt animation... Nothing, as if my attacks disappeared right when they hit. I am playing archer and I'm using Minecraft version 1.8.9 optifine. I tried changing bow, but nothing happened. Rebooting didn't help either. How do I fix this?

 

you wearing amulet of rejuvenation? by accident maybe?

 

Try switching servers or disconnect and relog. I once had that problem while fighting Orange Wybel a few days ago, so I did /kill

 

well, screenies of your stats might help

Some stuff devour your stats, like I used to have -39 health regen without knowing

we all know how that worked out

 

If you were on server 3 any period of time whilst experiencing this problem, server 3 had a bug going for it where all attacks wouldn't work.

 

If you are in a duel you can't damage mobs. We're you in a duel?

 

If it litterally shows -0 damage on the mobs, then it may be amulet of rej.

If you are no hitting them period then check if you're in a duel and then try relogging.

Last known problem is the god mob bug. This is where mobs are invincible WORLD wide. So you can just switch servers.
