For those who do not know, Demon Cave is a popular party grinding spot near Rodoroc, located at around [X: 1377 Z:-5070]. People often go to this area for party grinding with Totems and XP Bombs.

So to the actual guide. What makes a Demon Cave Party efficient? It's all about cooperation and timing. (But cooperation mostly).

A well placed totem needs good timing and cooperation from the party. Here's how a good totem will look like.
    2017-01-29_00.34.50.png
Full of mobs to deal and it's endless stream of new mobs coming in.

Cooperation within the party can be the difference between earning lots of XP or earning very little XP at the end of the party.

I attended 2 parties yesterday for my Level 100 to Level 101 grind. One was much more cooperated than the other. On the first party, the totem was so good that I earned 2% XP towards Level 101 in 1 totem! The other party, earned 0% XP towards Level 101 after 2 totems!

So Cooperation is the key to success and a good XP Party.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So here are some tips to make your Demon Cave party more efficient. Note that it should work for other parties as well, like Herb Cave and Freezing Heights.

    1: Organise your party
Split the party into different roles
    - Mobs Gatherer: The guys who will gather mobs
    - Totem Placer: The guy who will place the totem
    - Protector: The guys who will defend the Totem Placer as he tries to place the totem.

Protectors can use these methods to defend:
    - War Scream: Pushes mobs away but does not deal damage (or very little damage).
    - Ice Snake: Stop the mobs from moving. Deals very little damage so don't worry about killing it.
    - Heal Spells: Heal the Totem Placer as he tries to place the totem.
    - And any other spells that deal little to no damage to mobs, while able to keep them from reaching the Totem Placer

Do not use any other spells that heavily damages mobs, including Arrow Shield.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2: Setting up for the next totem
    Before Totem is placed
    - Gather the mobs, not kill them and waste everyone's time!
    - Everyone has a role to play. See [1: Organise your party].
    - Try gather mobs from outside the grinding zone. For
Demon Cave, get the mobs from the tunnel.
    - Have a defensive player (eg: tank builds, speed builds, heal mages) to lure the mobs. Otherwise get a mage to constantly heal the player.
    - Don't use spells that stun the mobs (eg: Ice Snake, Teleport etc), it causes inefficiency to the party.
    - Try to get about 10 mobs or more in the centre, then place totem. The more mobs, the better.
    - Don't ask who is going to put the totem next. Just place if you have it.

    After Totem is placed
    - DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT kill any mobs for the first 3 to 5 seconds.
    - Totem mobs will take about 3 to 5 seconds to spawn.
    - Killing all the mobs during that time means you are placing totem without mobs around! And that totem becomes a really bad one.
    - Once the mob totem mobs spawned, enjoy the XP :D

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    3: During the Totem
Mob Totem can be used as an assembly point for the following
    - Speed Boost from Archers
    - Heals from Mages
    - Strength and Resistance from Warriors

Need heal, resistance, strength or speed? Shout out in the public chat, and go to the totem to wait for buffs. Able to offer those buffs? Go to the totem to provide the buffs!

    Also
    - Try to kill mobs within the totem range, so everyone gets the XP!
    - Don't afk, you gain nothing but lots of hate.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Totem ended? Have more Totems? Yes! Repeat the cycle. Have those XPs rolling in :)

I don't think that this increases the mob spawn rate any further. It just doubles the mobs in the current area, making it look like it's better, but in reality it's not true.

There isn't many loots. Chances that there are more than 1 user who uses Wynncraft Enhanced in the Totem Party. I had about 242% XP Bonus during that Totem Party.
